Introduction
This is the first in a series of walkthroughs for Rainbow Six: Vegas. Each part will deal with a different section of the main single-player campaign. This article picks up gameplay as the main character, accompanied by his fire team, enters an abandoned trainyard in Mexico.
Trainyard
You will have a chance to change your weapons by activating the green equipment crate. My recommendation is to choose the SCAR-H CGC and the Scout Tactical sniper rifle as there will be a lot of opportunities for sniping in the trainyard. Grab some frags and some smoke grenades. Equip your sniper rifle and then move forward a little bit. Keep on the lookout and snipe the paroling tangos that will soon come into your field of vision. There will be two up high one on the catwalk like structure and one in the second story of the building in the distance. There will also be one or two on the ground. Move forward slowly and position your team as you go. The terrorists on the ground can be hard to spot since there is so much cover and they sometimes even hide inside the train cars.
Keep to the right and use your squad as a buffer between you and your enemies. Move slowly from cover to cover doing the same for your team. When you get toward the white train car, you should be able to see three guys, so snipe them all. Move your team up, switch to your assault rifle, and then crouch and remain hidden as you advance to the right corner of the yard you should see a guy on a turret. Sneak up on him from behind and kill him then advance your squad and engage the remaining terrorists.

Follow the train tracks, moving from cover to cover. There are several tangos that you will have to move through. Just take them one at a time if possible and use your team to flank them or keep them busy as you maneuver to a good position. When you get to the end you will see a ladder move up it along with your squad. Move forward and go through the door.
The next situation is a hostage rescue, so you will need to be careful not to kill or let the hostages die. Stack your team up at one door and then snake the other. I recommend snaking the door on the side as you should be able to see all the terrorists when you enter. Tag one tango as the primary target and another as the secondary target then issue a flash and clear command to your team. Wait until the flashbang detonates so that you are not blinded by it yourself and then open the door and assist your team in taking out the terrorists.
Remember to take your time so as not to shoot the hostages. The terrorists will be blinded by the flashbang so you don't have to rush. Your team might even be able to take them all out by themselves, so just stay calm.
Now go through he door along with your teammates. You will stay on the roof and use your sniper rifle to eliminate enemies. Send your team down the rope and to cover. Be ready to take out guy by the crate that pops up. Send your team from cover to cover to the white train, as you slowly advance you r team they will draw out enemies. Set your teams rules of engagement to assault, and wait for enemies, some of which will appear below you. Order your team to a forward position while providing cover, and then move up to their location; move cautiously as some enemies might still be present.
